I’m finally getting to a point of where I feel like I can post about finished projects in our home. We have lived here for four short years, and it seems our entire time has been about getting this to a neutral level if you will. We have finally reached a point of decorating, fine tuning, and perfecting the rooms in our home.

It seems appropriate to show where we are with the kitchen today, since I most recently finished writing about the process of the kitchen remodel and what it took to get here. I will forever try to remind people that we did NOT start here, and all of this has been a serious labor of love. Probably a big reason why my posts about the process are so long and thorough, because I want to make it clear that we are just two normal people doing all things construction ourselves, and these things have been very trying in many ways.

A bright white kitchen is absolutely what I wanted with a kitchen. To me, white feels clean, crisp, and fresh. I feel it stands the test of time and feels classic.

It is fun to look back at the process (now that we are absolutely not living in that) and laugh at the madness.  If you haven’t read those posts, click The kitchen Part One and The Kitchen Part Two to see what we went through to get to this point. It is hard to believe we did do all that work and see where we are now. Working on an old house is such a rewarding experience but also a very trying one. When I see this sunny, bright white kitchen, suddenly it all seems worth it.
